    Bluesky Awarded LiDAR Contract to Map Wales from the Air

    Aerial mapping company Bluesky International has been awarded a contract by Natural Resources Wales, on behalf of Welsh Government, to capture a high resolution laser mapped aerial survey of the whole of Wales. Working alongside Natural Resources Wales and Welsh Government, Bluesky will capture the data at a resolution of 2 points per metre before processing and delivering LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data for more than 20,000 square kilometres of rural and urban lands

    Bluesky to 3D Laser Map Environmental Features in Ireland

    Working on behalf of the Geological Survey of Ireland (GSI) and state forestry company Coillte, Bluesky is capturing 185,000 hectares of high resolution LiDAR data in Ireland. Using aircraft mounted lasers, the resulting 3D maps will be used to inform various protection schemes for Clean Drinking Water and Ireland’s adoption of the EU Water Framework Directive.
